A tale of four individuals, the story is about Arun (aamir) a noted artist who comes across Shai (monica), an investment banker at his exhibition. On the other hand, Shai makes friends with Munna (prateik), a neighbourhood Dhobi who aspires to be a star like Salman Khan one day. Meanwhile, Arun is in total fascination about the story of Yasmin (kriti) who happens to be the ex-occupant where Arun lives. However, fate and destiny has something in store and whether they get what they want or not forms the rest of the story.

</td> </tr> <tr> <td class="blacktext12">Presentation:
The director has come up with an interesting storyline and while the presentation was fabulous, the narrative was slight jerky at few points. The dialogues were deep, the script was well written and the screenplay was impressive. Background score was haunting and though the tune was foreign it was able to connect. Cinematography is the highlight of the film. Editing was sharp at the required places. Costumes were suitable while the art department was excellent. Aamir Khan as usual delivers his best but he takes a backseat in hogging the limelight, Monica was appealing and showed confidence and ease, Kriti was superb, the real showstealer was Prateik with his body language and smooth performance. Kitu Gidwani was apt. Nafisa Khan was natural.

</td> </tr> <tr> <td class="blacktext12">Conclusion:
This is a film that will strike a chord with the Mumbai folks very easily. However, given the tales of city life in our country, many will connect to it. The film comes like an insight into the lives of the characters and how their paths cross which is engrossing. With high quality technical values and exceptional performances, this is perfect package to those who wish to see some thinking cinema mixed with varied range of emotions. Though the entertainment aspect is subtle, the film has enough to keep the audience hooked. At the box office, this will be a sure shot success.

Downloads Masti verdict: Realistic and sensible, must watch!!
