A dark tale, the story is about Susanna (priyanka) who is in the search for true love. She marries a major Edwin (neil) who turns out to be possessive and suspicious. He gets killed and Susanna marries the musician Jimmy (john), but he is a drug addict and womanizer, so he dies of drug overdose. Then she marries the poet Wasiullah (irrfan) who is a lover in day but sadist at night, even he is removed. Then Susanna comes across Nicolai (aleksandr dyachenko) a Russian but after marriage she discovers that he already has a wife and kids in Russia. The death of Nicolai gets officer Keemat Lal (annu kapoor) in the scene and he begins to lust Susanna. Eventually, he also forces her to marry him but dies of cardiac arrest after that. Then comes Dr Modhusudon (naseer) who discovers Susanna is in depression and puts her on a special diet but eventually he wants to get rid of her and dies. Then comes the seventh marriage and the groom knows that Susanna has done all the crimes. What happens after that forms the rest of the story.

The director has come up with a gripping storyline and while the presentation was good, the narrative was not that strong. The dialogues were good at places, the script was alright but the screenplay was bumpy in few places. Background score was neat but songs were not impressive. Cinematography is top notch. Editing was average. Costumes were natural and trendy while the art department was rich. Priyanka Chopra came up with a riveting performance and her bold acts are catchy. Among the lot, it was Annu Kapoor who stole the show with his act. Neil was natural, John was brief, Irrfan was contained, Naseeruddin Shah was upto the mark, Aleksandr was apt, Vivaan Shah was excellent. Usha Uthup was good. Konkona Sen was effective. The others did their bit as required.

The film might find some traces from the Hollywood movies but then the makers have taken enough measure to give the nativity appeal. While the first half was interesting and passes off breezily getting the audience attention, it is the second half which slows down due to lengthy scenes, weak narrative. Overall, the film is appealing due to its daring theme but it is good in parts and not completely. At the box office, it might cater to select audience so it could be an average grosser.
