An unconventional tale, the story begins with Manoj Sharma (madhavan), an NRI. But unlike the regular NRIs, Manoj is more of a soft spoken, conventional and down to earth person. He believes in the institution of arranged marriage, prefers to listen to old classics of Md Rafi, respects elders and has a great sense of belonging to motherland. He comes to India to find a bride and chances upon Tanuja (kangna). It is love at first sight for Manoj but unlike his perception of an ideal Indian girl, Tanuja is quite the opposite. She doesn't hesitate to use foul language, smokes, drinks, has boyfriends and is very gutsy. Above all, she hates arranged marriage. Will Manoj's marriage happen with Tanuja? How will it shape up? all this forms the rest of the story.
</td></tr><tr><td class="blacktext12">Presentation :
The director has come up with a thought provoking storyline and while the presentation was impacting, the narrative was appealing. The dialogues were witty and charged up, the script was well written and the screenplay was impressive. Background score was good but songs could have been better. Cinematography is top notch. Editing was crisp. Costumes were colorful and rich while the art department was natural and catchy. Madhavan comes up with a good performance and he lives the character in an underplayed fashion. Kangna looks sizzling hot and she has scored as a firebrand girl. Jimmy Shergill was a revelation. Ravi Kissen was not used to the fullest. Rajendra Gupta was matured, K K Raina was natural, Deepti Mishra was decent. The others did their bit as required and added value.
</td></tr><tr><td class="blacktext12">Conclusion :
For starters, the film scores early points due to its theme. Secondly, it has the right kind of performances from the lead cast and supporting cast. Above all, it has a strong contribution from technicians making it a visual delight. While the first half is all about the building up of the plot and has many light moments, it is the second half which gets into a bit of melodrama and some dragged sequences. Overall, the film has a good pace which makes it worth a watch. At the box office, this has material for family and commercial audience. This has a strong chance of success.

DownloadsMasti Verdict : Worth Watching!!
