Story:
A well knit tale, the story is set on the backdrop of a school and here is the student Stanley (partho) who comes earlier than his classmates, drinks water during lunch breaks to fill his stomach while his classmates relish their delicacies. He gives a good enough picture of a sophisticated kid despite his poor background and is a charmer among the kids. His life takes a turn with the arrival of the Hindi teacher Dr Verma (amole gupte) who feasts on the tiffin boxes brought by the students. However, they come together to teach him a lesson and in the bargain, Stanley pays the price. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.

Presentation:
The director has come up with a touching storyline and while the presentation was rich, the narrative was excellent. The dialogues were well written, the script was strong and the screenplay was above average. Background score was effective and songs are alright. Cinematography was appealing and natural. Editing was crisp. Costumes were apt while the art department was matching the situations. Partho comes up with a riveting performance and he steals hearts, Divya Dutta was effective, Divya Jagdale was apt, Raj Zutshi was regular, Aditya Lakhia was adequate, Rahul Singh made his presence felt. The real show stealer was Amole Gupte who becomes the meanest that one can get. The others did their bit as required.

Conclusion:
Though the film is about the life of a school kid, it has a lot for the grown ups as well. There is no necessity to compare it with the regular kid flicks that came in as this is on a totally different line. While the first half goes about with the regular elements of comedy and entertainment, it is the second half which starts captivating and the climax is remarkable. Overall, this is a film which is a must-see for its depth and the ability to provide valuable content. At the box office, this has a strong potential to succeed if word of mouth publicity is good.

DownloadsMasti Verdict: Touching, emotional and sensitive...
