Story:
A well knit tale, the story begins with Arjun (emraan) who is a former cop. He gets into itsy bitsy assignments for those into flesh trade and gangsters to earn his livelihood. A model by name Priya (jacqueline) is in love with him but Arjun doesn't commit. The story takes a turn when a flesh peddler by name Samir sees his business in doldrums as all his girls are going missing one by one. He assigns the task to Arjun to locate them. The common clue for Arjun is a cell number. He decides to send one girl to catch the culprit. In comes Reshma (sulagna) for the act and even she goes missing. What happens after that? Is Arjun successful in tracing the culprit? Where are the missing girls? What happens to Priya's love? All this forms the rest of the story.
Presentation:
The director has come up with a twist filled storyline but it is the presentation which was good, the narrative was engaging. The dialogues were sensible and realistic, the script was unpredictable but the screenplay was interesting. Background score was apt and songs were pleasant. Cinematography was the best in the way it captured the locations and gave a visual appeal. Editing was alright. Costumes were natural while the art department was matching the situations. Emraan Hashmi comes up with a committed performance and emotes well. Jacqueline Fernandez gives a visual feast with her oomph factor and she is a treat to watch. Prashant Narayanan was perfect. Sulagna Parihar was sensuous. Sudanshu Pandey was standard, Yana Gupta was sizzling hot, Sandip was sensational, Shweta was effective.
Conclusion:
Though it is titled as a sequel, the story doesn't have much to do with the original. However, there are scenes taken directly from the Korean flick The Chaser. While the first half goes about breezily with elements of intensity, passion and songs, the second half is more into the serious side with action and the main suspense in the plot. However, the pace of the film goes down during the second half. Overall, this is a film that will surely appeal to the masses for its sex content and also to the multiplex audience for the hype. This would be a commercial success at the box office.
DownloadsMasti verdict: Erotic and bold!!
