Story:
A well knit tale, the story is set on the backdrop of the 1970s and 80s in the city of Jamshedpur. Here lives Vedant (delzad) who has a crush on Jenny. However, this crush of his leads to changes in his relation with his parents (sachin khedekar, tanvi azmi), his brother Vidur (sohail lakhani). As such, Vedant sees a total downslide in the equations and it is here that he discovers the true meaning of life and love. What happens in this process forms the rest of the story.
Presentation:
The director has come up with a realistic storyline and while the presentation was classy, the narrative was appealing. The dialogues were well written, the script was good while the screenplay was decent. Background score was good songs were okay. Cinematography was appealing. Editing was sharp but could have been better. Costumes were natural and trendy while the art department was suiting the moods. Delzad has come up with good performance and his chemistry with the child actor doing Jenny was nice. The major part of the accolades goes to Sachin Khedekar and Tanvi Azmi for their matured performances. Sohail Lakhani was superb. Virendra Saxena was elegant.
Conclusion:
Though the film doesn't have branded faces or heavy budget, it is the making of the film and most importantly, the storyline which is appealing. While the first half is on the lighter vein and deals with the emotions that adolescents go, the second half gets into the other aspects which make the audience get involved. This is a film which must be watched for its clean message to the audience and the realistic feel it conveys. At the box office, this has the potential to score success but it requires some aggressive publicity from the makers.
DownloadsMasti verdict: Interesting and entertaining
